My Therapy Approach
Sometimes you just need a safe space to pause, make sense of what’s happening, and recalibrate.
I’m here to listen and support you in a way that helps you feel truly understood. In therapy, we’ll work on challenges like anxiety, cultural identity, or family pressures while exploring what you want to get from our work together. We’ll process conflicting thoughts and feelings, and identify patterns in relationships or behaviors that may no longer be working for you.
Create the space for possibilities
Who I work with
I primarily work with people in Oakland, San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area, as well as clients virtually across California. Many of the people I work with are adult children of immigrants, women, and mothers. They often feel caught between family expectations and creating their own path and navigating cultural identity challenges. Some are also experiencing stress during pregnancy, early parenthood, or other life transitions, and want a supportive space to feel truly understood and heard.
I support people with:
Managing anxiety, stress, and life transitions
Navigating cultural identity and family pressures
Working through perinatal anxiety or birth-related trauma
Learning to communicate effectively and set healthy boundaries
Exploring relationship and intimacy issues, including cross cultural dating
Understanding grief through changes and loss
Finding self-compassion and making space for your needs and feelings
Building confidence, releasing fear and feeling empowered

How I work
My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and active. I use compassion and humor to create a space where we can work together to make shifts in your life and explore challenging topics. Together, we clarify your hopes, values, and what brings you joy, helping you create tools to manage anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I’ll offer guidance and understanding, empowering you to navigate life in a way that honors your experience and authenticity.
My Approaches - Art therapy & somatic practices
I especially love to bring art therapy into our sessions to deepen the process and reveal insights that you may not see when just talking (literally). Art therapy offers a creative, non-verbal way to explore emotions and experiences that words alone can’t capture. Somatic practices help you connect with your body’s wisdom, release stored tension, and shift old patterns. Through these approaches, you’ll learn practical tools to support healing, build resilience, and align your life with your hopes.
What to Expect
We'll start with a free 20-minute consultation call to discuss what you're seeking therapy for, I’ll answer questions about my practice, and we’ll explore if telehealth feels right for you. From there, we'll schedule your first therapy appointment and begin our weekly 50-minute sessions together. Our first 2-3 sessions focus on getting to know each other—your current challenges, family background, and hopes for therapy—then we'll create goals together that align with your values.
In our weekly sessions, we'll explore what's coming up for you and examine the stories you carry, figuring out which ones serve you and which you want to rewrite. I incorporate talk therapy, art therapy, and somatic awareness to help you connect with how feelings show up in your body, since healing happens in multiple ways. Every 6 weeks we check in on your progress and make sure our work still fits your goals. You'll have a space to be fully seen as you navigate your cultural identity and personal growth.
